Having Your Hearing Aids Professionally Cleaned in Los Angeles

by | Mar 15, 2021 | Hearing Aids, Patient Resources

If you have hearing aids, you know how wonderful a piece of technology they are. They provide a simple, painless solution for many cases of hearing loss and are overall a fairly low maintenance treatment option.

Keeping Your Hearing Aids Clean is Vital

It is important to remember that just like any other technological device, its overall performance can change over time. This can be due to the buildup of wax, debris, and moisture, or even just regular daily use. Because of this, cleaning your hearing aid(s) regularly is incredibly important to increase the lifespan of your device.

When it comes to cleaning your hearing aid, it’s not always clear on the best place to start and which tools are best to use. With much conflicting information online, it can be challenging to know what is best for your devices.

This is where our friendly team of highly trained experts is here to help.

clean-and-check

Our Hearing Aid Clean & Check Service

At Pacific Hearing, Inc. we understand your concerns, so we offer a hearing aid clean & check service as a professional solution. Anyone can take advantage of this service, including non-patients who have purchased their hearing aids elsewhere.

During a routine clean & check we will thoroughly check both your device and ears for any wax buildup, and then clean it out if necessary. We will also change the wax guards and domes in your device, and if needed we will replace the speaker as well.

How Much Does a Clean & Check Appointment Cost?

For non-patients, we offer two options. You can either drop your hearing aid(s) off at our office to be cleaned without an appointment, which costs $35 (parts extra if necessary), or you can schedule a full in-person appointment for $55 (part extra if necessary). We are also able to provide this service for all types of hearing aids.

As stated earlier, it is very important to schedule regular checkups with your physician Audiologist to ensure that both your hearing as well as your device(s) are working as they should. Most checkups are quick and easy and will require a minimal amount of your time.

Doing this will ensure that nothing obstructs the speakers and microphones in your hearing aids and that they will keep delivering the best sound to your ear.

Due to the nature of the appointment, it will need to be done in person, but you can drop it off at the desk and pick it up later. This ensures the least amount of person-to-person contact possible.

Los Angeles’ Most Advanced Hearing Aid Clean & Check Service

Hearing can have such a huge impact on the quality of life, and we strive to make sure that everyone who enters our office seeking help or treatment–even non-patients–receives the best possible care.

Finally, here at Pacific Hearing Inc., we know the importance of a clean hearing aid that is working to its full capacity. Because of this, when you call to schedule a clean & check appointment, we will always make sure we can see you as soon as possible.

If you are a current patient please remember, we always clean and check each patients’ device during every appointment with your audiologist. This does not mean that you cannot benefit from scheduling another clean & check but know that during all of your routine checkups this service is done as well.
