When you are a new patient, they text and email numerous times to be there 30 minutes early. Which I was. And then the front desk said sorry it’s actually not the case. That was disappointing since I had to hustle and get there and arrange my families schedule for that additional 30 minutes that wasn’t needed. Overall, the actual care from the physician was good. Everything else was disappointing.
Eventually much of the hearing did come back. His professionalism and caring helped me through a difficult chapter in my life. I cannot recommend him high enough. He was wonderful.


Increased volume. Projection. Okay, outdoor voice.
"CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?"
"Huh? What?"
Over the last two years that's how hubby and I have been communicating. Surprised we're still married but he is rather cute.
Examination of his diminished hearing began with a referral from his primary care physician to see if the origin was simply "waxy yellow build-up". Yup, some but that removal did not significantly improve his hearing.
Next step definitive testing with audiologist, Rachel Abucasis, AuD. Test revealed severe hearing loss.
"So why can't we just order some of those newfangled hearing aids I saw on the internet and be done with it?"
"Because dear (by now I'm using the term lightly), they're a one size fits all."
"But they're cheap."
In outdoor voice, "BECAUSE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!"
Hence, began a series of appointments (about four) to get both the right hearing aids as well as the personalized adjustments.
Long story short, final devices, not inexpensive, are working well. He can hear me now although not always what I say is what he wants to hear.
This save-our-marriage (perhaps) investment comes with three years of follow-up, replacement/repair of the devices.
Via Rachel Abucasis, AuD. (a.k.a. Dr. Rachel) we left with complete detailed instructions on hearing aid maintenance and a six-month follow-up appointment.

Yet in recent years, the ringing has seemed louder.
So my doc told me to check here for a hearing loss.
Staff is polite and saw me just 5 mins after check-in.
My hearing test revealed that I'm both blessed and
cursed bc the ringing frequency in my ears is same
as most women's voices. Therefore the next time a
woman tells me that I am ignoring her, I can simply
say "naw baby, I just got a hearing impairment that
prevents me from listening to your bullsh!t". (lmao)
*** I see no reason to correct this condition. jk ***
