Rachel Abucasis, AuD.
Audiologist 2022-present
Rachel, born and raised in LA, moved to New York City for six years of schooling, where she completed her undergraduate education at Touro College, NY.
Not long ago, she moved back to the highland of Los Angeles, bringing her husband along the way, eager to start her internship at Pacific Hearing and Balance, Inc.
As an intern, she is currently in the Au.D. program at the Graduate Center, CNUY in New York City. Graduating with a BS in communication disorders, she completed her observation experience in speech pathology and audiology.
Through this, her passion for audiology grew, as she found that every patient had a different story. It’s almost like puzzle solving – it keeps things interesting.
This translates well into her role at Pacific Hearing and Balance, Inc., where she sees patients from 9 am till 4 pm. From performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, vestibular evaluations, and hearing aid evaluations and fittings, she is a key part of the team.
In truth, it’s a busy day, with a variety of medical cases to solve, but she loves the relationship the audiologists and staff all have with each other. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, which makes it a great environment for students to learn.
In her free time, she loves to cook, work out, online shop, and travel.
